11 ACRES
A STORY OF A JAPANESE CANADIAN FAMILY GROWING UP IN BRITISH COLUMBIA (1938 - PRESENT DAY)
This website was created to share the stories of a Japanese Canadian Family that was forcibly relocated from their 11 acre home in Port Hammond B.C. to the internment camps of Popoff, Bay Farm and New Denver. In 1952, the family came back to Vancouver to restart their life.

We hope this website helps provide greater details on the life in internment camps and the resulting impact on the survivors and future generations of Japanese Canadians.
